Function Inside Component in React

Sometimes we need a function that only belongs to one component — for example, to handle a click. We can declare this function inside the component.

Here’s a simple example:

  function handleClick() {
    alert("Clicked!");

  return <button onClick={handleClick}>Click me</button>;
}
